2007 Hubbard Reunion Group Shot

I tried to get everyone in this but there are a couple of people hiding and at least one person missing. All-in-all we captured 57 people in one shot which is an amazing feat for the Hubbards...don't you think? Brenda Molina is behind Joyce Ann and Sunni deliberately hid....grrrrrr. Johnna Wooddell didn't make it into the picture and I'm not sure where she was.

I'm listing a link to a huge assortment of pictures which you can upload into your computer if you'd like. http://picasaweb.google.com/karenemagill/2007HubbardReunion

Thursday night we hung out behind the little cabins under an awning Henry had rigged up. (Very nice, Henry!) and there's a good shot of us moving it up to our new home the next day. Henry, Garland, Uncle Dub, Tom...all cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for us. Then a few of us sauntered down to the river which was raging. A few people had drowned but they informed us it had already gone down by the time we arrived. (Karen, Deacon, Sonny (Dad) As you'll see if you look at the photos it went down enough for several Hubbard's to enjoy frolicking in the fast-moving waters and the new dam. Deacon and I sat with Uncle Richard watching and I think we all found ourselves wanting to get in...but not bad enough to do it.

Friday, we rented the "Bunkhouse" which has 22 beds, a kitchen, and we feel enough room that we intend to keep it instead of trying to get back into the "Hangout." It's cheaper and this way if someone can't afford a cabin or doesn't get theirs rented in time they'll have an alternative place to sleep.

As usual, everyone did their own thing...river...pool...leisure family enjoyment. Everyone gathered for a singing Friday night. Saturday night we joined our family talent with others at a "bluegrass" type gathering at the park while the rest of us just hung out playing games or doing our own thing(s).

We created a new game. Take a memory, make it into a question and see who could answer it. We tried to allow the furthermost removed generation to answer first but if it wasn't your memory and you hadn't shared it with many it was new information for almost everyone. It was fun and we're finding out a lot about each other.

As usual, the food was plenteous and wonderful and we all probably gained weight.

The Saturday auction yielded $840. but $40. was for an album that Uncle Don purchased if anyone is wondering. I paid $671. at the office Sunday which paid for Friday and Saturday night and a one day deposit which holds it for us next year. We're scheduled to meet the 3rd weekend in June next year. We spent $245. on food and paid $111. for Aunt Betty's cabin. We had $1190 to begin with so we now have $963 . in our account. (I'm doing this randomly but I think that's pretty close.)

If everyone were to come I figured up there's around 204 people in the Jess Hubbard...Nina Horton family...so we know there are many more because Aunt Joyce (Jesse's sister), Bill, and Annette, nor Gene and his wife, Annie were not able to make it this year.

We missed you guys!!!! Hope you're okay. Write us and let us know...please!!!

Gene did write in May as you can read in the comment section. Hope Annie is feeling better after her 5 stint!!!!! operation!

I heard from Annette and she said Aunt Joyce wouldn't be able to come to any more reunions but their door is always open to anyone who'd like to come and visit.
